Terran is the most OP race in Starcraft 2

by Michael 4. April 2011 22:10

I really hate Terran!

I am in 1v1 Plat 2v2 Diamond with a teammate, I play Zerg. But I'll admit  I'm not the most amazing player in Starcraft. But what I can't stand is losing to Terran garbage. I was already having a bad night with Terran. I was doing everything I thought against Terran all night to no avail. Finally, With my diamond partner, we lost 3 or 4 straight games to Terran. We got fed up we joined a 3rd play for a 3v3. All three of us were Terran. I totally suck at Terran, I have no idea what the tech tree is, anyways, all I did was Marine, Marauder and Medivac and of course with stim. A very popular Terran Cheese. It was amazing. We were against 2 protoss and 1 Terran army. I don't even know how to describe this. But basically I'd get in a fight, I'd stim, and everything on the screen would die, and my army would be at full health, even when we were vastly out numbered. Stalkers fall like bugs against marauders. Colossus don't stand a chance as they can't move faster than stimmed marauders! WTF?! this Giant ass robot can't out run a tiny human - Makes no sense.

Oh the best part is... They did a drop on my mineral line and killed all my workers. No problem tho, because i spawned 10 mules on my gold expansion and start mining at 3000k a minute. Like wtf if that happened to protoss or my native race, zerg. It would be GG, but not Terran! Oh no they can come back from anything and still kick ass.

Terran is so gay and anyone who thinks they are not OP, play Terran and are delusional.

The service industry is an awful place some days.

by Michael 9. March 2011 16:48

I creep book quite a bit and I came across a story today that is quite shocking! Darcey Swennumson of Medicine Hat, Alberta got into a sticky situation when eyebrow wax got into her eye lashes. After her appointment they still made her pay in full. However, surprise the debit machine is out!

The solution?

Use the ATM machine in wal-mart! After she walks over there, guess what OUT OF ORDER!

Now what?

Go buy something and get cashback from wal-mart.

Huh?

Oh and now we're going to laugh at you for having wax in your eye and being flustered about the entire ordeal! The manager even goes as far to challenge her to tell everyone in Medicine Hat about the ordeal. I really hope she meets that goal and the manager gets fired.

I know I've been in a position like hers, although it involved lunch at New York Fries in Calgary.

I was working with my brother doing stucco, and we usually grabbed food from wherever that was close to the Job Site. This particular time it was New York fries in Marlborough mall.

I ordered a Hot Dog with fries and a coke. After inputting my PIN on the number pad and pressing OK I proceeded to add condiments to my meal. The tiller interrupted me and said that the transaction failed and I needed to do it again.

I noticed the error message said Line Busy, or something similiar. I knew right away that the issue was on the shops end. Not the card or bank.

Whatever.

I re-did the process and again tried to add condiments when again the tiller stopped me from doing so. I asked if I could just do this since your machine is erroring out and will probably work the next time. At this point a man, whom I believe WAS the manager spoke out and said "no lunch for you".

That was pretty upsetting and I tried to explain to them that the error was with them. Of course they didn't believe me, and I got to pissed off at the last comment to care anymore.

I left the food and walked over to KFC and got a meal there and paid successfully with my debit card on the first try.

I sat back down and watched a lady order something from New York Fries. She too tried to pay with debit and it again failed.

Guess what!?

The manager this time gave the meal to the lady for free, and probably started looking for what the problem was. My guess is they have phone on the same line that the debit machine uses and was off the hook for some reason.

Fuck you New York Fries.

I never go to any New York Fries establishments anymore.

Anyways Here is Darcey's story (you can read the original [here])

"On Saturday, March 5, at approximately 5:00pm, I went to Regal Nails to have my eyebrows waxed.  It was my first time using any type of service in this salon.

The technician who waxed my brows completely disregarded my instructions on how I wanted my brows waxed.  Partway through the waxing, I confirmed my instructions, and at that point she still disregarded them.

During the waxing, she also dropped a glob of hot wax on the inner corner of my eye.  She tried for a moment to remove the wax, then simply advised me, "It will come off in the shower."  For the record, it didn't.  I still have wax on my eyelashes, and both the lid and undereye area are raw and slightly swollen.

When the waxing was complete, and I went to the counter to pay, their debit machine was not working.  They advised me to use the ATM machine located within Walmart.  I pointed out that that machine charges a fee on top of my bank's fee to withdraw money, but they did not care.

I then went to use the ATM to withdraw money, and noticed an "Out of Order" sign on it.  When I returned to the salon and advised them of this, they asked me to make a purchase in Walmart and take out extra money at the till to pay for my waxing.

I found all of this to be extremely disappointing, not to mention a big inconvenience and very unprofessional.  However, I did as requested and then returned with cash in hand.

At that point I asked to speak with the manager of the salon.  I explained that it was my first visit, and would be my last.  He asked why, so I started to explain my reasons, based on the above.

He interrupted me partway through, and demanded payment for the eyebrow waxing, going so far as to reach for the money in my hand.

At that point I advised him that I would be telling everyone I know about my experience that day, and his response was, "There are 65000 people in Medicine Hat.  Go ahead."  He then collected payment for the brow waxing, and I left.  During this encounter, the technician who waxed my brows was standing beside the manager, smirking and trying not to laugh.

I can honestly say that this is the worst treatment I have ever received at any place, at any time.  I would hate for anyone else to go through anything like this, so I'm trying to let everyone know not to use this place for any type of service!

I'm not gonna lie, either -- he invitation for me to "go ahead" and tell everyone about what happened makes me determined to get the word out to as many people as I can, so go ahead and pass this on to everyone you know."

My Sister is a Ninja!

by Michael 7. March 2011 03:07

I've been a long time practitioner of TaeKwon-Do. I got good, real good. I have a box full of medals to prove it. But I exist only in the shadow of my sister, whom is half my height but twice as mighty. She recently just became a 3rd degree Black Belt and a few years ago she won the World Juniours in Puerto Rico in patterns. If I ever find that video, I'll get it up on here. But for now enjoy this cool demonstration put on by the Phoenix TKD club in Stony Plain. My sister is the pint sized blond one, Mrs. Nicole Hawkins.

My First Attempt at Blogging

by Michael 22. February 2011 18:02

Hi there! This is my first attempt at a blogging site. I am going to try it out for a year and see where it goes. This actually was incredibly easy to setup. I registered my domain name, which was super easy at godaddy.com, and decided to pay for hosting today. I google searched blog starter kit and what you see is the first hit. I had it up and running in under 20 minutes. The hard part is figuring out what to write. This is not at all my strong points. I hope as I do this I will get alot better at writting.

So far I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the site. There is alot of stuff here. I'm actually quite amazed at the amount of work that must have been involved with a site like this. Anyways Stay tuned.

Michael Stratychuk

Hi!

This is my personal blog. It will probably just include a bunch of random stuff that I find interesting or that is important to me. It will also be a lot about an upcoming game that I am developing with a talented 3D artist and personal friend.

I am always interested in technology and work as a Network Analyst at very large Health organization in Canada.

Also I don't have email support setup properly so go ahead and email me at ms@michaelstratychuk.me if you so desire.

To check out the game I'm developing check out http://eve3d.ca. I warn you now that it is hardly developed and the website even less so.

-Michael
